Description

Recently a number of Kill Task/XP Loot quests were added to the game. One of them was to collect a "Polished Piece of Obsidian" from Ashmongers in Muspelheim for Sinmora in Haggerfel. These quest formats were added to the game with the intent of making XP faster. As such, when properly set up, the items that drop generally fall at a healthy rate of about 1 per 10-15 mobs killed. The lion's share of these quests have a nice, healthy, drop rate as described above. Certain ones do not, to such an extent that the quest is rendered pointless. This falls into that category and an inspection of what is causing the low drop rate is necessary for proper functionality of the quest. Else it is pointless to be in the game and only serves to consume server resources. I killed ~300 Mobs for only one item drop. Please examine the causal factors and remedy.

Reproduction Steps

1. Go to Muspelheim on an appropriate level character (level 25-30) is a good range to kill Ashmongers and still have them be non-grey cons so that they will drop items.
2. Kill many Ashmongers, observe the low occurence of "Polished Piece of Obsidian" dropping from them
3. Determine the cause for the low rate and remedy so they drop at a rate befitting the purpose of the quest.

Intended Behavior

A good healthy drop rate in line with many working quests of this type is 1 drop for every 10-15 mobs. Please determine why this particular quest has such a low rate of item drop and remedy so that the droprate is more in line with the other quests of this nature.

Evidence

http://camelot.allakhazam.com/quests.html?cquest=411 describes the quest in question; nothing but common sense and good judgment are needed to understand the drop rate as it is currently is unacceptable.
