Description

When using Severing the Tether (Mentalist RA) against Theurgist ice pets, the expected behavior is that the pets will turn on the owner and continue casting from range like they do against all other enemies and will only go into melee when within the expected melee range for ice pets.

What happens instead is that the ice pets, once hit with Severing the Tether, will immediately turn and run into melee range with their owner and start hitting them with melee attacks, regardless of the distance between the pet and the owner when the sever occurs.

Here is a gif that shows the incorrect behavior:

Here is a youtube video showing the correct ice pet melee / cast behavior on an enemy from Live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1ympx8qPNA

Reproduction Steps

1. Have a theurgist cast a bunch of ice pets and watch them cast from range and only melee when within a certain closer range.
2. Have the Theurgist run a good distance away from their ice pets, say 500-1000 units
3. Hit the ice pets with Severing the Tether Mentalist RA
3. Notice that the ice pets do not turn and cast on the owner, they run into melee range and hit the owner instead, even though the owner is very far away and should be casted on based on normal ice pet behavior.

Intended Behavior

Ice Pets should follow the same rules of engagement with regards to casting and melee distance as they do with PVE/RVR enemies when they are effected by Severing the Tether

They should cast on the owner when they are out of normal melee range, and should only melee when in normal melee range for an ice pet.

Evidence

Ice Pets have an expected behavior for all PVE/RVR except in this one specific scenario, when effected by Sever the Tether.
