As someone who mained Theurg during classic I was surprised by how low the health of earth pets actually are here, so I did some testing.
At level 10 my level 7 earth pet spell produces a pet with ~36 HP (according to combat log). That means that such a pet gets 2-shot by blues and higher. As mobs have a faster swing time than my cast time and tend to hit first, it is currently extremely difficult to kill mobs at that level. This is not how it was during classic time, where earth-Theurgs (at that level and in general) had absolutely no issue soloing reds.
I cannot tell anything about the higher level pets as I am not at that level, yet.
I had no issues with the pets at level 5-6, so my guess is that they are not properly scaled by level.
1. Be level 10.
2. Cast level 7 earth pet spell on blue con.
3. Watch it getting two-shotted.
4. Ponder your (virtual) life choices.
I - for obvious reasons - do not have the exact HP of earth pets from classic, but according to my memory the HP on Uthgard should be about twice what they are now.
The general rule of thumb for Theurgs was:
green - 1 pet (doesn't work here, pet down at ~40% mob hp)
blue - 1-2 pets (doesn't work here, pets down at ~80% mob hp)
yellow - 2-3 pets (doesn't work here, pets down at ~90% mob hp)
orange - 3-4 pets (doesn't work here, pets die faster than you can spam them)
red - 4-6 pets (doesn't work here, pets die faster than you can spam them)
purp - spam all you got (doesn't work here, pets die faster than you can spam them)
