when starting the lvl 11 epic quest Wug´s Jug , Wug agroed me when i spoke to him first time, killed him and got the Lucky rabbit foot, but the quest journal was still at step 1, when trying to speak to Wug i just give me a "evul eye" and nothing happends, i then destroy the Lucky rabbit foot, and now i can talk to him, and he sends me of to get he´s Lucky rabbit foot , but my Journal now say´s give the Lucky rabbits foot to Jug. Now i have killed those badgers and bristle so many times its riddiculus

You could make it possible to delete single steps of Epic quest to help out these kind of problems.
Also you could, when a problem like this happens , look into and grant the missing item to the player
i have no "proof" of what happend, i was doing the quest with some friends and they both got the step done, but if needed a GM can have a look at my account / quest journal to see whats going on.
