Description

It seems the resist rate for Enchanter Pet spells is too high. I did a test using the Underhill Companion. I had the pet do 100 casts against the level 50 target dummy and had 51 resists and 49 lands. By all formulas I can find the resist rate for a level 44 spell should be around 18%, not 51%. Another tester did a similar test using more casts and saw a resist rate around 41%.

Reproduction Steps

1. Create an enchanter and i50.
2. Summon Underhill Companion (maybe other caster pets)
3. Have it attack the lev 50 target dummy. Note % of resists.

Intended Behavior

Based on the formula resist rate = spell level/2 + 85% - 25% the resist rate for a level 44 pet/spell should be around 18% not 41-50%

Evidence

"Spells have a factor of (spell level / 2) added to their chance to hit. (Spell level defined as the level the spell is awarded, chance to hit defined as the chance of avoiding the "Your target resists the spell!" message.) Subtracted from the modified to-hit chance is the target's (level / 2). So a L50 caster casting a L30 spell at a L50 monster or player, they have a base chance of 85% to hit, plus 15%, minus 25% for a net chance to hit of 75%. (Grab Bag 1/17/03)
