The beach rats at connla in the water are untargetable, meaning you can target them, but you get the message "The beach rat is too far away to attack!" no matter how close you get to the mob.

The beach rats are malfunctioning somewhere on their hitbox, replace rats and test again?
Mobs in this game should be able to be meleed when standing on top of them.
