I cannot place instruments in the ranged slot of a bard. I already had an instrument in the ranged slot when I logged in, but once I took it out, I could no longer put another one back in there.
As far back as I can remember, you could always have 2 instruments equipped. One in the 2H slot and one in the ranged slot. I looked at the prima official strategy guide (pre-SI) and it has a blurb about putting an instrument in the ranged slot. I think that confirms that this is a bug and not normal behavior.
1. Make a bard
2. Purchase an instrument from the DF vendors in TNN
3. Try to place it in the ranged slot
All instruments should be able to be placed in the ranged slot at this patch level. Something isn't allowing an instrument to be placed in the ranged slot anymore.
