While doing The Red Dagger epic quest with a skald the step where I have to talk to the different smiths was skipped automatically.
After talking to Lynnleigh about the Thane's Blood she correctly told me to go seek out the famous smiths.
The Quest Journal listed step#11 instead, where you have to go to Yggdras Forest to collect the ingredients.
1. Create a Skald
2. Accept the Red Dagger quest
3. Notice how after talking to Lynnleigh in step#9 you will automatically be at step#11
The step where you have to seek out the smiths should not be skipped.
