Journal says: Speak with Erskine, in Connla. Ask him if he's seen Ceard lately
1. Be a Bard. Get the quest <Search for the missing smith>
2. get it to step #3
3. visit Erskine in Connla
4. type: /whisper Have you seen Ceard lately?
It should be possible to get some information from Erskine
