Description

I'm noticing after either a certain amount of time, or a certain amount of power consumed, my focus shield will stop doing damage, but my focus is still maintained. I'll then move, after a mob has hit my pet and I reflect no damage back, and the combat log will show I have interrupted my focus shield.

This is the same thing that shows as "Resolved" in issue # 1130, but it is not, at least for my Spiritmaster.

For video evidence to show I wasn't being hit my anything, moved myself, or any other comments saying it was me, I have created a twitch highlight from my stream last night while a friend and I were testing the werewolf king drop table. Uploaded the highlight to YouTube to add in the next report step.

I'm not sure if any other focus classes are still experiencing this, but I know I am on my Spiritmaster. The other issue report that shows resolved, 1130, also has a comment about the game considering you double casted shield.

I still encounter this as well on my Spiritmaster, but didn't record it yet. I can get that in another issue after I record some video of it happening. Long story made short for that issue: cast focus shield twice, watch your pow drain twice as fast.

Reproduction Steps

1. Roll a Spiritmaster (my level was 39) specced in summoning
2. Focus pull a mob that will last for a good while against your reflect damage, preferably a much higher level mob.
3. Sit and watch (without moving, casting another spell or getting hit) the combat log to see that eventually, the shield stops doing damage but continues to drain power.
4. The next action you do after this happens, will show that you have interrupted your focus spell, meaning you were still maintaining focus, just not doing any damage. Hence, draining your power still.

Intended Behavior

Just as in issue 1130, focus shields should maintain damage reflection until you are hit, move or cast another spell.

Evidence

This issue was previously reported in issue # 1130. As per that issue evidence: "I have played an enchanter for a very long time and I am very familiar with how the effect works. I have confirmed this issue many times while leveling and have conferred with other enchants who have reported similar behavior." This also accounts for Spiritmasters and Cabalists. All focus shield classes work in the same manner.
