I got a Petrified Wisened Oak Shield off of an Amadan Touched in the frontier. The mob was lvl 29-30 (yellow to 31). The shield was orange to me at lvl 31, with a 15% bonus. Being orange to lvl 31, it should have salvaged for sapphire bars. Having a 15% bonus is should salvage for carbide. This thing salvages for 5 quartz bars (lvl 10 shield equivalent). Please fix the salvage.
1. Kill Amadan Touched (in hibernian frontier) until you get the shield to drop
2. Salvage it
3. be very, very disappointed when it gives you 5 quartz bars
This item should salvage for carbide at the very least, but more likely sapphire bars. 5 bars is correct for a small shield, but the metal type is 15-20 levels too low.
I've already stated my evidence, the item was orange to lvl 31, so the minimum metal would be carbide, but probably sapphire salvage, not quartz(lvl 10 material)
