2 issues - Darkened Defender salvages for 5 Ferrite metal bars (tier 2) and Darkened Battle Shield salvages for 15 Quartz metal bars (tier 3). These are level 35/38 items and should salvage for Diamond metal bars (tier 8) like the rest of the armor/weapon drops in Treibh Cailte.
1. Kill Ursine Patrol/Warriors in Treibh Cailte
2. Salvage either shield noted above
3. Compare to other metal armor/weapon drops.
Change the salvage from Ferrite/Quartz to Diamond metal bars.
Compare these 2 sheild drops to any other scale armor/weapon drops - you will see other drops salvage for Diamond which is appropriate to their level of difficulty.
