The level 50 animist fire and forget turret "Forest's Core" is not instant casting its spell.
1. Cast forest's core within 1000 range of enemy
2. Notice forest's core has a 3s cast time

In patch 1.65 the Forest's Core FnF turret was instant cast with a 3s cooldown. Giving this pet instant burst damage when enemy entered LOS
This wasn't changed until Version 1.68 February 19, 2004.
Forest's Core, in the Animist's Creeping Path base line, will no longer be instant casting its spell; it will now have a three second cast time.
